Drew Brown Landscapes & Stone (DBLS) is a licensed commercial landscape construction firm, which has been operating in the landscape construction industry since 2004. In that time, the group has been engaged to work on prestige residential projects designed by award-winning architects and landscape architects including Clive Lucas, Peter Stutchbury, Rob Brown, Bruce James, Rosalie Stollery, Nick Tobias, Smith & Tzannes, Madeleine Blanchard, Studio Schelp, Oi Choong and Phoebe Pape. DBLS has been engaged to do landscaping and stone works construction for properties which range in style from modern to heritage-listed. DBLS’ work on an oceanfront property at Whale Beach was recognized by the Housing Industry Association (HIA) award for ‘Best Custom Made Home’ in 2009. The project was designed by leading architect Rob Brown of Casey Brown Architecture.

DBLS installed extensive sandstone at a property in Clareville designed by Bruce James, which went on to win a Master Builders Association Excellence in Housing Award in 2011.

In 2011-2012, DBLS completed stone and landscaping works on a Palm Beach waterfront reserve property designed by award-winning architect Peter Stutchbury Architects in association with Fergus Scott Architects. This unique home on Pittwater was the winner of the highest award for residential architecture, The 2012 Wilkinson Award. The house has also been featured on Channel 7’s popular Better Homes & Gardens as well as the cable network series Sandcastles.

Andrew (Drew) Brown is a highly skilled licensed structural landscaper and stonemason specializing in architect-designed prestige residential property.

With over 20 years in the industry including a complete apprenticeship, tertiary qualifications in landscaping and horticulture, Drew is rare in the industry being licensed in both trades and possesses a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of structural landscape design, stonemasonry and their construction.

Drew has both the ability and the experience to interpret and implement all stages of a variety of landscaping construction and general construction projects.

The DBLS team is backed by a solid group of tradesmen, all of whom have been working with our company since its inception.

Drew takes particular care in the briefing stages to understand the exact needs of the architect, builder and client and what they envisage for their property and landscaping project. Capitalisation and long-term aims for the property are assessed and incorporated into any installation plan prior to commencement.
